The 03-06s came with bad ass traction control. Theres good info on ExPo forums about them.

I’ll be honest, I historically have not been as crazy about that generation as I was about the prior, but I have to say that looks very nice.

3rd Gens can still be very capable off road, if that’s what you need. They also very good road manners. Only problem areas are ABS pumps, 4wd switches on the t/case and front wheel bearings need replacing every 30k or so.
I'm currently enjoying the shit out of my 1st gen LWB.
